MOSQUITO CREEK

Upstream access is permanently blocked at the Windsor culvert. There are no plans to change it.

    The Spawner Survey was conducted by volunteers during the Coho run from October to December. Volunteers were trained in Survey methodology.

  • Fry Survey - Fell Channel ---- tributary

    The Fell Channel was constructed in the fall of 1999. The fry survey was done to estimate fish population.

  • Fry Survey - Griffin Channel ---- tributary

    The Griffin Channel was constructed in the summer of 1998. Spawning coho were observed in the Fall of 1998 and 1999 and cutthroat in the Spring of 1999. The fry survey was done to estimate fish distribution and density.
    Fry trapping, using the mark/recapture method, was conducted with the help of volunteers on February 26 and March 4, 2000.
