The course will cover Modules 1 to 4, 7 and 11 from the Streamkeepers Manual.
Cost - $50.00 ($25.00 for established volunteers from North Shore Streamkeepers).

Dress appropriately and wear boots or waders.

The workshops are designed to answer the following questions:
How does the local government decision making process work?
What legal powers do local governments have to protect fish resources?
How can community groups act as effective advocates for fish habitat protection before local governments?
The workshops are free and are designed to be very interactive. There will be 4 or 5 speakers, made up of environmental representatives, an elected local government official, and Linda Nowlan, a staff lawyer at WCEL. Questions will be welcome throughout the workshop.
