    Students interested in the environment complete their own projects, supervised by teachers and parents.

    Braemar Elementary School ---- (Thain Creek)
      Parents-4-Science
      Kindergarten to Grade 7 (5 to 12 year olds)
      Activities: Storm Drain Marking, Stream Measurements, Water Quality Sampling, Earth Day 1999 and 2000 Planting
      Programs: Think Thain (Spring 1999 - current)

      Thain Creek Club
      Grades 5 and 6 (10 to 11 year olds)
      Activities: Monitor water level, temperature and oxygen content, invertebrates on a regular schedule to develop a long-term survey of the creek's health.

    Carisbrooke Elementary School ---- (Wagg Creek)
      Environmental Club
      Grades 1 to 7 (6 to 13 year olds)
      Activities: Composting, Clean-ups, Plant Sales, Earth Day 1999 and 2000 Planting
      Programs: Evergreen Foundation's Learning Grounds, Gently Down the Stream

      Grades 11 to 12 (16 to 18 year olds)
      Activities: Clean-ups, Plantings, Promoting Recycling

      Activities: Storm Drain Marking, Butterfly Garden
