SCHOOL PROGRAMS
- FISHERIES AND OCEANS CANADA
SALMONIDS IN THE CLASSROOM
Students raise salmonids in classroom incubators. Fry are released into local streams in the spring, usually combined with Streamkeeper and streamside learning activities.
A Community Advisor (CA) serves as the liaison between Fisheries and Oceans Canada and the volunteer projects.
A SEP Education Coordinator assists with the educational programs, and teachers in each school oversee the projects.
