This part of the slope was eroding because of concentrated drainage flowing from a building and paved parking area at the top of bank. The bottom of the slope was stabilized with rock. The slope itself was recontoured and terraced with interwoven biomaterial, then planted with native plants. The top was fenced.

In 1999, when the Thain Creek culvert was removed and the channel daylighted, a new culvert was constructed under Westview Drive. Soil and plants were added soon after.
